Cabinet Making - Going Solo
This class will help you develop skills for finer
cabinet construction using cabinet-grade plywood and solid wood face frames.
Each student will build their own kitchen base cabinet (or router table) with
raised panel drawer face and doors. The skills and techniques learned in
the building of the base cabinet are repeated for every element of kitchen
- Develop plans and cut lists,
- Table saw setup and safety,
- Dimensioning solid wood,
- Pocket hole joinery,
- Biscuit joinery,
- Cope and stick door joinery,
- Cutting Mitres
- Shaping Raised Panels,
- Selecting and installing cabinet hardware.
a materials fee estimated to be
$150. Making a router table will
cost an additional $75 in materials, including premium casters, dust port,
T-bolts, wing knobs, and Lexan plate. The materials fee will be finalized at the end of class.
Five 8-hour sessions, six students maximum. Lunch on your own.
A deposit is required to confirm your
reservation. Deposit is refundable
until 30 days before the class.

Dante DiIanni has owned and
operated G.N.A. Woodworks, a full service fine cabinet shop since 1995. In 2004,
he was awarded the title "Master Woodworker" by the Marc Adams School of
Woodworking and continues to study with some of the best woodworkers in North
