Cabinet Making - Going Solo
March 9, 2014 Sunday 9-5 PM - through April 13th
This class will help you develop skills for finer
cabinet construction using cabinet-grade plywood and solid wood face frames.
Each student will build their own kitchen base cabinet (or router table) with
raised panel drawer face and doors. The skills and techniques learned in
the building of the base cabinet are repeated for every element of kitchen
cabinet construction or other casework.
- Develop plans and cut lists,
- Table saw setup and safety,
- Dimensioning solid wood,
- Pocket hole joinery,
- Biscuit joinery,
- Cope and stick door joinery,
- Cutting Mitres
- Shaping Raised Panels,
- Selecting and installing cabinet hardware.
a materials fee estimated to be
$125. Making a router table will
cost an additional $75 in materials, including premium casters, dust port,
T-bolts, wing knobs, and Lexan safety plate. The materials fee will be finalized at the end of class.
Six 8-hour sessions, six students maximum. Lunch on your own.
A deposit is required to confirm your
reservation. Deposit is refundable
until 30 days before the class.

Entire amount is credited to your deposit. Tuition balance due at first class.
